Based out of Oakville, Derek Klatt provides timely and effective legal representation to all workplace parties. Derek provides counsel to employers of all sizes and at all stages of the employment lifecycle. He frequently advises on day-to-day human resources matters, including policies and procedures, managing terminations, and implementing accommodations. Derek has guided Fortune 500 companies through challenging litigation before Ontario courts and administrative tribunals. He also acts on behalf of employees in respect of their employment agreements, termination packages, accommodation requests, harassment complaints, and in cases of wrongful dismissal.

Apart from representing both employers and employees, Derek conducts independent and impartial workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, violence, and other forms of misconduct. As both a lawyer and a licensed private investigator, he blends his legal experience with his investigative training to conduct rigorous investigations and produce thoughtful analysis.
